Nestled in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif, Diriyah is renowned for its well-preserved Najdi architecture, characterized by traditional mudbrick structures, palaces, and mosques. Bab Samhan, named after one of Diriyah’s historic gates, pays homage to this heritage, incorporating low-rise architecture, serene courtyards, and narrow alleyways inspired by the natural surroundings of the region.
Guests are welcomed through grand Najdi doors into an intimate, home-like lobby, where they are greeted with warm Saudi hospitality. Traditional refreshments such as dates, cardamom coffee chocolates, and spiced teas are served in Wujar, a cozy lounge inspired by the social gatherings of old Arabia.
