Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Nairobi
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you'll be greeted by a representative who will assist you with your transfer to the Argyle Grand Hotel Nairobi. After checking in and freshening up, you'll have the remainder of the day at your leisure to relax and acclimate to your new surroundings.
Day 2 - Exploring Nairobi
After breakfast at the hotel, your day will begin with a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you'll have the opportunity to meet orphaned elephants and learn about the organization's conservation efforts. From there, you'll proceed to the Giraffe Centre, where you can get up close and personal with endangered Rothschild giraffes and even feed them.
In the afternoon, you'll head to the Nairobi National Museum for a guided tour, exploring exhibits that showcase Kenya's rich cultural heritage, natural history, and contemporary art. If time permits, you may also choose to visit the Karen Blixen Museum, located in the former home of the famous author of "Out of Africa."
Day 3-4 - Lake Elementaita
After breakfast, you'll depart Nairobi and travel to Lake Elementaita, a picturesque soda lake located in the Great Rift Valley. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at the Jacaranda Lake Elementaita Lodge-Gilgil, where you'll enjoy stunning views of the lake and surrounding landscape.
During your stay, you'll have the opportunity to explore Lake Elementaita and its diverse birdlife, which includes flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants. You'll also visit nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its rhinos, as well as other wildlife such as lions, leopards, and buffalo. Day 5-6 - Maasai Mara
Following breakfast, you'll depart for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, known for its incredible wildlife sightings and breathtaking landscapes. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at AA Lodges Maasai Mara, situated in close proximity to the reserve.
Over the next two days, you'll embark on morning and afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara, accompanied by experienced guides who will help you spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros) as well as other iconic African species such as cheetahs, giraffes, and zebras. You'll also have the opportunity to visit a Maasai village and learn about the traditional customs and way of life of this iconic tribe.
Day 7-8 - Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you'll depart for Amboseli National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at AA Lodges Amboseli, situated in a prime location within the park.
During your stay, you'll enjoy game drives in search of Amboseli's abundant wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalo, and wildebeest. Be sure to visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and its surrounding plains, as well as the chance to capture stunning photographs of Kilimanjaro towering in the distance.
Day 9-10 - South Coast
After breakfast, you'll bid farewell to Amboseli and travel to Kenya's South Coast, home to some of the country's most pristine beaches and vibrant marine life. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at the Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort- South Coast, where you can unwind and soak up the sun.
During your stay, you'll have ample opportunity to relax on the beach, swim in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, and participate in a variety of water sports such as snorkeling, diving, and kayaking. Optional excursions to nearby attractions such as Shimba Hills National Reserve or Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park can also be arranged.
Day 11 - Departure
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time in the morning to enjoy one last stroll along the beach or indulge in a leisurely breakfast at the resort.
