During their Plenary meeting at IMEX Frankfurt 2024, the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) revealed their annual Country and City Rankings Report for 2023. The study, which evaluates more than 10,000 meetings that ICCA members have submitted, identifies important changes and patterns in the international meetings and events sector.
CEO Senthil Gopinath highlighted the report’s contribution to strengthening the strategic positioning of ICCA members and the community at large by providing insightful analysis. One noteworthy aspect of this year’s report is the greater diversity of continents represented in the Top 20 country rankings. In contrast to the previous year, the countries of Europe, Asia, and North America are joined by representatives from Latin America and Oceania in the 2023 rankings. Furthermore, an Asian location has made it into the top five, demonstrating the competitive advancement of the region.
In addition to highlighting the geographical diversity, the study restates ICCA’s dedication to advancing the advantages of international gatherings and events across the globe. The association is still a strong champion for the international meetings industry and a catalyst for positive change.
